You'll Never Walk Alone

When you walk through a storm
hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark.
At the end of a storm is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark.
Walk on through the wind,
Walk on through the rain,
Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone,
You'll never, ever walk alone.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone,
You'll never, ever walk alone.

Before I embraced Christ as my best friend and Savior, at times I had overwhelming feelings of being alone…lost and afraid.  I chalked it up to depression, anxiety and fear.  “This is just the way I am and I always will be.”  But when I invited the Lord into my heart and started living His way, I began to see that all things are possible to anyone who believes and obeys God.

Have you ever felt as though God has forsaken you?  There are millions of  people who feel that way.  At the lowest point in Jesus’ life, He asked his Father why he had forsaken Him.  (Matt. 27:46)  We all have difficult times…times when we feel alone and abandoned.  As Christians, we know that we are never truly alone.  God is with each and every one us (even those who have not embraced Him).  As Christians, we call upon Him and He is there.

God brings healing to us when we feel alone and depressed.  He hears the hopes of the hopeless and listens to our cries and comforts us.  (Ps. 10:17)  The power of His presence reminds us that we are never alone, and brings comfort, peace and joy.  Pray in all ways at all times that your soul finds rest in Him.  Your salvation will come from this knowledge.  (Ps. 62:1)

My dear friends in Christ, I can guarantee that no matter how deep your feelings of being alone are, God has something new He wants us to do in our lives.  Pray and ponder these feelings and He will show you the path for your life.  Embrace your actions all for the love and glory of God!  Seize each and every day…giving all you have back to our Father that loves you.

Don’t sulk and brood like I used to when feeling alone.  Sure, there are times when I feel alone...and that's when I turn to my scriptures, read or play/sing...all of these for the glory of God.  I reach out to Him and He's always there.  Think of constructive things that you have done in the past, or now, that helps you through your feelings of being alone.  If you would like, please share them with us!

“Be strong and courageous.  Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”  (Joshua 1:9)  I give you these thoughts and prayers in the most Holy Name of Jesus Christ who lives in each one of us…and will forever and ever.  Amen
