“GUILT:”

Isaiah 64:6- All of us have become like one who is unclean, and our righteous acts are like filthy rags.

Romans 3:10- There is no one righteous, not even one.


“GOD'S FORGIVENESS:” (repentance)

Psalm 32:5- Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity.  I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord”--and you forgave the guilt of my sin.

1 John 1:19- If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

“GOD'S LOVE:”

1 John 4:9- This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.

John 3:16- For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

“SALVATION:”

Romans 10:9- If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you shall be saved.

Acts 4:12- Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.

Ephesians 2:8,9-It is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast.

“WORSHIP:”(praise)

Hebrews 13-15- Through Jesus let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise--the fruit of lips that confess his name.

John 4:23,24-....true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.  God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.

“GUIDANCE:”

Psalm 143:10- Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.

John 16:13- When he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth.

“OBEDIENCE:”

Luke 11:28- Blessed are those who hear the word of God and obey it.

John 14:15- If you love me, you will obey what I command.

“OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHERS”

“LOVE:”

John 13:34,35- Love one another.  As I have you, so you must love one another.  By this all men will know that you are my disciples if you love one another.

John 15:13- Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

Ephesians 5:1,2- Be imitators of God as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us....

1 John 3:18- Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.

“COMPASSION:”(kindness)

Colossians 3:12- Clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

Matthew 25:40- The King will reply, “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.

Ephesians 4:32- Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ, God forgave you.

“FORGIVENESS:”

Colossians 3:13- Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another.  Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Mark 11:25- And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in Heaven may forgive you your sins.

Proverbs 24:17- Do not gloat when your enemy falls; when he stumbles, do not let your heart rejoice.

“REVENGE:”

Romans 12:19-21- Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written.  “It it mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.  On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.  In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head. “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Luke 6:31- Do to others as you would have them do to you.

“ANGER:”

James 1:19,20- My dear brother, take note of this:  Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man’s anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.

Ephesians 4:26- Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry.

“HATRED:”(strife)

Proverbs 10:12- Hatred stirs up dissension, but love covers over all wrongs.

1 John 4:20- If anyone says, “I love God,” yet hates his brother, he is a liar.  For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.

“PEACE:”

Romans 12:18- If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

Romans 14:19- Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.

“CORRECT VALUES:”

Jeremiah 9:23,24- This is what the Lord says. “Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches, but let him who boasts boast about this; that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the Lord.


Matthew 22:37-40- Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”  This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”  All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.

“PRAYER:”

Matthew 7:7,8- Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

James 4:8- Come near to God and he will come near to you.

Psalm 61:1,2- Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer.  From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher that I.

“PERSERVERANCE:”

Thessalonians 3:13- And as for you, brothers, never tire of doing what is right.

Galatians 6:9- Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Hebrews 10:36- You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.

“HAPPINESS:”

Psalm 37:4- Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 97:1- The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice.

Philippians 4:4- Rejoice in the Lord always.  I will say it again; Rejoice!

Psalm 28:7- The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped.  My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.
