Memory Lane

Where we remember our loved ones that have passed on
Jesus told her,
"I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even
though they die like everyone else, will live again. John 11:25

My Dear Wonderful Friends ...It is with a heavy heart and much regret that I must inform you that Tanya passed away on February 1, 2006 ... With her family at her side, she quietly drew her last breath in the early morning hours, and silently started on the rest of her journey ... She lived her life so that no one will ever forget her ... She left her wonderful essence with everyone that ever came in contact with her ... Little did I know that when I gave birth to her on January 13, 1965, she would touch so very many lives ... |
| Tanya has asked that everyone be sad for only a little while, and then move on and CELEBRATE her life ... I ask that you please respect her wishes ... Her body was
cremated, and her hubby, Steve, will have her remains compressed into a diamond ... How fitting!!
Comes the Dawn
After a while you learn the subtle difference
between holding a hand and chaining a soul.
And you learn that love doesn't mean leaning,
and company doesn't mean security.
And you begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts,
And presents aren't promises.
And you begin to accept your defeats with your head up and your eyes ahead,
with the grace of a woman or a man, not the grief of a child.
And you learn to build all your roads on today,
because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain for plans,
and futures have a way of falling down in mid-flight.
After a while you learn
that even sunshine burns if you ask too much.
So, you plant your own garden
and decorate your own soul,
instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.
And you learn ...
that you really can endure,
that you really are strong,
and you really do have worth.
And you learn
and you learn ...
With every goodbye, you learn.
Blessings to you all,
Linda (A1BlessedSpirit) and daughter Christina

Hello, My Friends,
I want to thank you all for your caring words to help me get through this difficult time. Several people have asked about flowers and/or donations, or could they send something to Steve. Tanya's remains were creamated, and there was no funeral or memorial service, as of this point in time.
As many of you know, Tanya worked for the American Cancer Society, starting out as a volunteer, and was the Grassroots manager for the
Southwest division at the time of her death. |

ACS's signature fund-raising event is Relay For Life, which Tanya and Steve were very active in. They organized the first Relay For Life at ASU West
in March, 2003, while she was still a student there. So, I would like to take this chance to direct
you to her husband, Steve's, web page. |
It is such a wonderful tribute to my daughter, his wife. Steve has made his personal goal for this year $5000.00, and it would be wonderful to see him attain it, or even go over. Steve's web page address is:
http://tinyurl.com/cohx6.
Once again, I cannot thank you enough for all your support at this most difficult time in my life. May God bless each and every one of you mightily!!
Blessings,
Linda (A1BlessedSpirit) |
