Arms of Love
Father, my life is as dark as the night
I need You dear Lord, to shine Your light
All around me Lord, the waves are crashing
all my hopes and dreams, they are smashing
I start withdrawing from the people I love
it seems to me all they do is push and shove
as I sink deeper and deeper into this hole
I feel despair in the depths of my soul
Lord, I feel so empty and lost and cold
How I wish for a saving hand to hold
I sink down on bended knees
and pray that You will hear my pleas
Lord, I open my heart up to You
for that love I know is true
Lord, I know You truly care
For my pain, You say you share
Lord, I cry out Your Holy name
and I pray dear Lord, please take this shame
Lord, I need to feel Your healing touch
Yes, my God, I love You so very much
then I feel the arms of love
as they reach down from above
Lord, I feel such joy and peace
as the waves around me cease

A Simple Smile
I ask, Lord, how can I give
I barely have enough to live
You answer and gently say
My child, I will show a way
See the woman so bitter and alone
A simple smile and the seed will have been sown
just do your little part
then I will change her heart
I say Lord, there must be more I can do
I can share Your words so true
You say my child, this is all I need
just this simple and good deed
You tell me others have sown some seeds
A smile is all this woman needs
To see the glory of my love
Sent down to her from above
So, my Lord, I will gladly listen
And I smile, as in my eye a tear will glisten
As she smiles and says thank you
for now I know His love is true

I thank you for the gifts I share
I will praise and worship You every day
I yearn to grow, just show me the way
Lord, the old me is done and gone

God is with me every morn
He has loved me before I was born
With His arms stretched wide
He gave me the ultimate gift, He died
He didn't do this just for me
He did it so we all may be free
He forgave me of all my sin
From the beginning to the end
As I look into His eyes

And I may feel alone and weak
It's Your love that I seek
