Lord, I thank You for the times You carried me
Just because of the love You had for me
And how You hold me close in Your arms
To keep me away from all of lifes harms
Your love and mercy overcomes all
Each time I slip and fall
You say, my child, I understand
As You lift me up and help me stand
Your love is deeper than the deepest sea
Your kindness and grace overwhelms me
My Father, I gladly praise and worship You
For Your love, I know is so very true

Repentance
I have turned my back on You so many times
And, yet, You love me even more
I knew You were always there
But I just didn't care
You were always there to lend me a hand
When I couldn't count on man
But I was always to blind to see
That You were always next to me
I never turned to You when things were good
Even though I know I should
I always thought it was "My lucky day"
But it was You showing me the way
I know You can forgive my past
Because You have the love that will always last
I am sorry for my days gone by
I will no longer ask "why"
Come and be by my side again
And trust me to be your friend
Some say I have lost my gift
But it's your love that gives me a lift
I need your guiding light
To make things right
Please forgive once more
Love me as once before
I will do things in Your will
As my heart begins to fill
I will give Thanks to You

Hand in Hand
Are you weak and burdened with care?
Take my hand, I have faith to share!
When you feel tired and oh so weak
I'll help you to find the one you seek
Hand in hand and side by side
We can wait out the tide
Family and friends, we can get along
Where I am weak, you can be strong
God has brought us together for a reason
Maybe for life, or maybe just a season
He knows who or what we may need
He is a mighty God indeed
I may falter, I may fall

The Lighthouse
I have a lighthouse in my heart
I knew it from the start
I will let it shine thru
Because God I love you
I have backslid again
Remembering all my pain
Going thru all my fears and sorrow
Not focusing on today or tomorrow
But Your love is shining thru
Saying " for this I give unto you"
Telling me You will always love me
As it has always meant to be
But, why am I to blind to see
Your love that has set me free
I will let it shine once more
Because it's Your love is what's it for
Forgive me once again
Let me feel the love within
As I kneel down at Your feet
Knowing You will make it twice as sweet

All of us have been given special gifts
Some to teach, some to pray, some to uplift
As our place in this family of God's we seek
His gift to us He gently will speak
Is yours the special gift of teaching
As hungry, yearning minds you are reaching
Or is it the special gift to pray
As others you see hurting day to day
Maybe it's the gift to write down words
Or to sing as sweetly as the birds
Is it the gift of a heart of love
Oh how I love these gifts from above
As I get to know this new family of mine
I can see gifts of every kind
Each is important, each in demand
But in this great family, they go hand in hand
These gifts from God I will always treasure
They are worth so much more than I can measure
But the greatest gift was on a tree
on a lonely hill called Calvary
