As You give Your love to me so free and true
It seems that I continue hurting You
I treat this life just like a game
Nothing seems changed, I feel no shame
Lord, I ask that You change my heart

I eagerly await Your special touch

MY FRIEND
I want to tell you about my friend
He has been here to the end
He was there when my wife died
He was the one who held me as I cried
He was with me in jail
He was there without fail
He was there when I ignored His name
Yet He loved me all the same
He was there when I put that needle in my arm
He was the who one protected me from harm
He was there when I felt alone and meek
He has been with me 7 days a week
His love is for you and me, all of us
This man we call Jesus
You see that cross up there
He died so we may live, because He cared
You may doubt He is there
Believe me my friend, He is everywhere
Thank you for all you do
And loving me that is all so true

Broken and wasted, drowning in this sea
I tried to make it on my own Lord
I didn't listen to Your word
I am so lonely, tired and weak
It is Your presence that I seek

With so many problems, you can not cope

And the world begins to push and shove
I know things look hopeless and
bleak
When it's love is what you seek
Reach out for God's hand
As you and God walk along the sand

Lord when I think of the wonders of your love
Here on Earth and in heaven above
I will praise your wonderful name
And be so thankful that nothing is the same
You hold me up when I am weak
And give to me the strength that I seek
You listen to my every prayer
And let me know just how much you care
I will praise you each and every day
And let you lead me all the way
Guide the leaders of this great nation
